Garnacho's winner overshadowed by Ronaldo's interview

I prefer talking about Ronaldo situation after match analysis.

Amazing from Garnacho once again as he scores a winner in the last minute of the game to hand United all 3 points in the last game before the 6-week world cup break. We dominated the game in the first half, although we missed a lot of clear-cut chances that could've won us the game by a 3 or 4 goal margin. We clearly missed Dalot, as Malacia was cooked by Willian for the whole game. He was good at recoveries, but we clearly missed Dalot. We clearly play better without Ronaldo in the team, the fluidity in attack is just infinitely better when Ronaldo is not there. I believe Martial staying fit for the rest of the season is crucial for us in the second half of the season.

Eriksen got his first goal for United. Bruno was brilliant in the first half, but faded after he was shifted to the right wing after Elanga was replaced by McTominay. I understand McTominay was brought on for the struggling Malacia playing in an unfamiliar position. This stopped our attack from moving freely like they did in the first half. Malacia showed great tenacity and recovery, but he was caught out of position many times in the game. De Gea made more fantastic saves to keep us in the game.

Garnacho was brought on to get us the attacking going again after former United player Dan James scored the equalizer to end his 25 game goal drought in the Premier League. This bold decision shows ETH clearly trusts Garnacho a lot and will continue too. Pellistri not being played in the right wing tells us a lot about the fact that maybe he's not working hard, considering how Ten Hag treats his players.

The atmosphere and support from the away fans was great today. Garnacho's last minute winner and the Messi-esque celebration was the cherry on the top. This might not be our best performance, but 3 points are all that matters. Special mention to Palhinha who gave a MOTM worthy performance.

Piers Morgan dropped a bombshell, showing us a glimpse of Ronaldo's exclusive interview with him. Ronaldo talked about the situation surrounding the United owners and facilities in the interview, which I agree with. But I'm not sure what he is trying to convey when he said Ten Hag and others have showed a great lack of empathy while talking about his daughter. He was given the green light to skip the preseason to stay with his ill daughter, but wasn't included in the match day squad for missing the preseason, which is understandable for any manager to do to his player.

He said he was targetted by the coach and 2 or 3 other members to force him out of the club when asked about it, and felt betrayed. I don't get this, either, because he was the one pushing for a move and offering himself to other Champions League clubs only to get rejected. This sounds like betrayal. Trying to force a move out of the club when the club was not in a good condition.

I think Ronaldo won't be playing for United any more, considering the timing of the interview. Right before World cup. It's such a shame and a downfall for one of the greatest players to play the game and probably the best player I have seen play for Man United. Me writing this cannot convey how overwhelmed I feel about this interview and the disappointment.
