Casemiro wins you games.

Do you guys still remember the last ten years of suffering? I do. But I haven't looked forward to United games more than I do now in over ten years as a United fan. And do you know the reason why we are playing so well? Is it because Rashford is on fire? Is it because Martinez and De Gea have built a wall? Yes. But do you know what clicks the team the way it is? The answer is simple. It's the title of this article. You got it. It's Casemiro. He has revolutionized the team.

Ten Hag has described him as the cement between the stones, and we are here today to discuss why he said that.

With Casemiro, we have a win percentage of 70% with only 0.6 goals conceded per 90 minutes, against the 57.10% win percentage with 2 goals conceded per 90 in his absence.

What makes him so special? Is it the last-ditch tackles or taking a card for the team? Yes, but as Puyol once said, if you are making a sliding tackle, it means the team has committed a mistake. What makes Casemiro special is his positioning and ball recovery. Something that can be coached, but can only be mastered by yourself. His ability to read the game is what made him the best defensive midfielder in the game ever since he joined Real.

His positioning always ensures that he forms a triangle with Bruno and Eriksen in the possession phase. If they do lose the ball in this phase, he drops back and becomes the anchor for the center-backs while the fullbacks drop back. Many casuals would think that as a defensive midfielder, all he does is stay back and defend, which he does, but the place where he truly excels is at reading the game. He fills in the spaces in attack, giving more passing options to Bruno and Eriksen.

Casemiro is superb in his passing ability, and his confidence makes him even more special. His first passes are always forward, unlike what we have regularly seen from the McFred duo in recent years, who have always passed sideways. Anybody who has watched enough football in their lifetime would know that a team is truly in control of the game when they dominate the pitch's central part, not the flanks.

Casemiro controls the game in his half and the opponent's half by squeezing the opponents only with his presence.

McTominay or Fred usually pass sideways to each other, to the flanks, or pass backward while in possession, allowing the opposition to recover and move up the pitch to press. But this is where Casemiro changes things. He gets the ball and passes it through the lines, which lets us create more goal-scoring opportunities. His confidence to break through the lines is something only players of his calibre can achieve.

The best example of such scenarios was his assist against Nottingham Forest, where he read the pass of the opposition player and quickly intercepted the pass and passed through the opposition lines all the way to Fred, who then got his goal.

He goes back, goes forward, and his presence is always felt every minute of the game. He truly is the middleman of the team.

You might think we have had easy games on paper, but paper doesn't win you games, Casemiro does.
